While you may have a travel cup to keep your coffee hot on the go, they can quickly lose heat and leave you with cold or iced coffee. The Ember Travel Mug is a smart, high-tech device that keeps your coffee hot for your entire commute.

The Ember Ceramic travel mug 2nd generation was tested for several weeks. We carefully analyzed its performance, ease-of-use, design, cost, and price. Continue reading to learn what we thought.

Ember Travel Mug Design Simple, slim, and sleek

The Ember Travel Mug measures 7.9×3.14 inches and weighs 15.2ozs. This is slimmer than the brand’s original-generation travel mug. The new touch-sensitive control panel, which replaced the old manual dial, is partly responsible for this change.

The slim design of the mug is enhanced by its sleek appearance. The mug’s top is slightly wider than its bottom, making it easier to hold even without a handle. A matching charging coaster is included with the unit. Both are coated in a matte finish. The coating makes it easy to grip and prevents accidental drops.

The lid is a key design feature of the mug. The lid can be opened with a push and allows users to drink from any side. This was especially useful when driving as it meant that we could take the mug out from any angle and start drinking. The lid is leakproof and we can confirm that it is. During testing, there were no leaks or spills.

We didn’t like the design because it only offered black as a color option. We would have preferred at least one option, considering that regular Ember Mugs are available in copper and white.

The lid is a key design feature of the mug. The lid can be opened with a push and allows for 360° drinking.

The mug’s material was also not what we liked. The Ember Travel Mug’s inner is made from stainless steel. This can give the beverage a metallic taste.

Connectivity Apps are useful but not Essential Ember Travel Mug

The Ember Travel Mug can be used without the Ember App, unlike the regular Ember Mug. The touchscreen controls on the mug were easy to use to adjust the temperature, which was great for driving.

We recommend pairing the Ember Travel Mug and a smartphone to get the best Ember experience. For five seconds, press the power button at the bottom of your mug. To begin, we opened Ember and selected the “pair new devices” option. The setup was quick and easy. Once the Ceramic travel mug is connected to your phone, you will be able to adjust the temperature directly from the app.

The Ember App is easy to use and well-designed. The Ember App is simple to use and doesn’t have many additional features. It mainly acts as a temperature indicator for the mug. You will be notified by the app when the temperature is reached. This was a great feature that we found to be very useful. It let us know when our drink is ready for consumption, so there’s no chance of it burning.

Performance Coffee hot for hours

The Ember Travel Mug was fun to use and kept beverages warm. The Ember Travel Mug can keep hot drinks warm for up to 3 hours depending on how warm the drink is, what temperature it was at, whether creamer was used, and what temperature it was. The Ember logo on the top of the mug allowed us to access the temperature gauge and battery percentage. We also enjoyed the rotating Ember logo.

Price So Expensive

You will need to spend a lot of money to ensure your morning cup stays hot for hours. The Ember Travel Mug retails for $180 and is a significant investment. Although it delivers hot coffee and an enjoyable user experience, we feel that the Ember Travel Mug is too ETI Rambler 20 oz Tumbler

The YETI Rambler 20, oz. The YETI Rambler 20 oz. is a very popular travel fan mug and retails for about $30. The YETI has a 20-ounce capacity while the Ember Travel Mug only holds 12 ounces.

Ember’s smart technology is what makes the mugs different. It heats beverages to the user’s preferred temperature. The YETI uses double-wall vacuum insulation to keep drinks hot or cold. The temperature of the YETI is unpredictable, but it can still maintain hot temperatures for many hours. The YETI offers a better deal because it has a greater capacity and provides a similar experience at a substantially lower price.
