Lofoten, Norway’s islands that include Austvagoy Flakstadoy Vestvagoy and Moskenesoy as well as many other smaller islands, has been a favorite travel destination for me since childhood. Lofoten is an archipelago located in the Norwegian Sea that I fell in love with. It’s known for its beautiful scenery, charming fishing villages, clean waters, Viking history and friendly people.

The Lofoten Islands have some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. These islands are a sight to see with their fjords rising up into the sky, the turquoise waters and sheer expanse of the Nordic wilderness.

Lofoten can only be experienced by car. Fortunately, it is easy to find the roads leading to and around Lofoten Islands. Driving around Lofoten is a one-way trip on a highway. This makes it great for solo travelers.
